Golden OPEN Thinner is a water-based additive designed to thin the consistency of OPEN Acrylic Colors and Mediums—without affecting their extended drying time ⏳. It helps maintain and adjust the workability of OPEN paints on the palette, making it a great tool for blending and detail work.
Also useful as a thin-bodied retarder for Heavy Body or Fluid Acrylics, this additive increases flow without adding gloss or forming a film. Because it contains no binders, it should make up no more than 25% of any paint or medium mixture (1 part thinner to 3+ parts paint or medium) ⚖️.
